Sydney Mardi Gras

Sydney comes out to party for the world’s largest night-time costume parade. Gays and lesbians, an integral part of the city, organise through volunteers an extravaganza that is a hallmark for this city.

The 28th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade is themed "I Believe", as over six thousand entrants and believers strut, dance, skip, ride and shimmy down the Golden Mile in the name of tradition, celebration and protest.

The best vantage points of the parade will be along Flinders Street. There will be no public viewing of the parade at Hyde Park.

Consider walking or taking public transport to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade as road closures will be in place throughout the area. Detailed information on public transport can be found at www.131500.com.au

P.s For anyone that has met Marcel.. he is Leaving back to Germany in 2-3 weeks. We came up with the idea to go to the Mardi Gras, not cause he's gay cause he isn't, more because I've heard its the best Carnival in the World!!!! I've personally never been to the Mardi Gras and I think it would be loads of fun... excuse the punn.
